Legal Representation

Practice areas
Whatever legal problem you have, it’s likely that I can help you. I handle family matters, wills and trusts, business formation and reporting, contract drafting and advice, land use and property law, landlord services, civil rights suits, debt collection, personal injury, select criminal defense cases, and all types of appeals.

My fees
I am up front about how much I charge and will be open with you about how much your case is likely to cost. The cost will vary according to your circumstances — if your case involves special or very tricky issues, or involves going to trial, it will cost more than a simpler case. In some instances, I may be able to offer you a flat fee for my services, so you will know in advance exactly how much you can expect to pay.

Expertise and experience
I am a knowledgable and compassionate counselor and a tenacious advocate. I am a strong writer, I am at home in the courtroom, and I believe in thorough preparation and investigation. In addition to conducting trials in a variety of civil matters, I have argued before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. Before studying at the University of Maine School of Law, from which I graduated magna cum laude, I ran my own business for ten years. I have also worked for lawyers, both here in Maine and in rural Texas, for over five years.

Advice and guidance
Even if you don’t decide to use my services, or if I decide I can’t take your case, I will do my best to put you in touch with someone who can help. Alternatively, some matters only require minimal guidance, so I may be able to help you solve your problem during a single consultation. And, in certain cases, you may be able to do much or all of the work yourself with my advice.

Give me a call
Whatever your needs, I am here to help. Give me a call today to discuss your legal problem or to set up an appointment.
